I am a 31 year old blacksmith with 3 years full time and 2 years part time experience as a blacksmith at the Waterloo Region Museum and Doon Heritage Village in Ontario, Canada. I have been granted a 3 month unpaid sabbatical starting January 1st 2016 through to late March to study blacksmithing abroad. I have asked for this sabbatical so I can break out of the bubble of working on my own and learn from blacksmiths from all around Europe. I would like the opportunity to work for you and learn as much as I can during this period in exchange for room and food. It is also my intention to make contacts and friends within the blacksmithing community abroad. Please include a rough estimate of when and for how long you would be interested in having me.
